IBS performed a comprehensive study to assess the feasibility of converting an existing one-story, 126,000-square-foot flex-use building into a commercial data center. The study for the structure, located on a 6.5-acre site, encompassed the review of its attributes and the extent of necessary upgrades. In addition to detailed utility and fiber surveys, IBS assessed the site based on its proprietary five-point rating system that reviews a location, available resources, site logistics and security as well as property/building features. The study also included a calculation of the site yield – a function of available power, redundancy, physical structure, and available land to white space. |
Upon completion of the study, IBS recommended a feasibility of the conversion of the property and assisted the client in power delivery negotiations. The client followed IBS’ recommendation and converted the structure into a data center. |
